Во время обучения в университете иностранным студентам предстоят расходы, не связанные с оплатой за обучение:
- Invitation letter for study – 60 USD;
- Temporary registration for the period of stay in Belarus — 60 USD;
- Medical insurance (if necessary) – 170 euros per 1 year (at the rate of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus on the day of payment);
- Mandatory medical examination – 100 US dollars (Student Polyclinic No. 33 in Minsk);
- “Holiday visa” (if necessary) – 40 USD;
- “Exit visa” (if necessary) – 30 USD.
Registration of a notarized translation of a passport into Russian – 30 USD.
The procedure for issuing a visa takes an average of 10 working days. 11-12 working days before the date of departure, the following documents must be submitted to the Department for Work with Foreign Citizens (ORIG) of BSTU:
- Passport (original);
- Receipt of payment of the state duty (a form with a current account is issued ONLY by an employee of the department.
After arriving from the holidays in the country, a foreign student must undergo a MANDATORY medical examination at the student polyclinic No. 33 in Minsk and present a certificate of medical examination to an employee of the department. Otherwise, the student will not be allowed to take tests and exams!
Foreign students of BSTU who are subject to compulsory health insurance (except for citizens of Armenia, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan) are required to purchase a health insurance policy for the period of study (mainly for a year with subsequent extension).
The policy contains a memo about the telephones required in the event of an insured event (illness), and medical institutions, as well as the procedure for calling an ambulance.
Upon arrival in the Republic of Belarus, within 3 days you need to undergo a medical examination at the Student Polyclinic No. 33 in Minsk. A certificate of passing a medical examination must be submitted within the specified period to the Department for Work with Foreign Citizens and to the hostel.
Please note that passing a medical examination is a MANDATORY procedure!

Working hours and appointments of doctors on the site
All foreign citizens who arrived to study in must be registered with the Office of Citizenship and Migration within 10 DAYS after arrival!
To process documents for obtaining temporary residence, as well as entry and exit visas, you need to come to the Department for Work with Foreign Citizens of BSTU.
To register, you must provide the following documents:
- Passport (original) and translation of the passport into Russian;
- Certified by a notary of the Republic of Belarus;
- Receipt of payment of the state duty (settlement account is issued ONLY by the employee of the department);
- Residential lease agreement (if a foreign citizen does not live in a BSTU hostel).
Dear foreign students, please be careful and do not miss the deadline for your registration! The registration procedure for “renewal of registration” takes an average of 15-20 working days.
In this regard, in order to apply for an “extension of registration”, you need to submit the following documents to the Department for Work with Foreign Citizens 20 working days before its expiration:
- Passport (original) and translation of the passport into Russian;
- Certified by a notary of the Republic of Belarus;
- Receipt of payment of the state duty (settlement account is issued ONLY by the employee of the department);
- Compulsory medical insurance policy (except for citizens of Armenia, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan);
- Residential lease agreement (if the citizen does not live in a hostel).
You need to be attentive to the procedure of “renewal of registration”, visa processing. Foreign students who miss the registration renewal period are subject to administrative liability with the payment of a fine.
In case of repeated violation, a deportation procedure is carried out!
In the event of a change in your address of residence in Minsk, you are obliged, within 3 days from the date of conclusion of a new lease agreement, to inform an employee of the Department for Work with Foreign Citizens of BSTU about the change in the address of residence in Minsk, since you must be registered under new address.
Foreign citizens staying in the Republic of Belarus must always have a passport, registration stamp with them.
